The Kroc Center is an extension of The Salvation Army’s mission in Brown County. The positive impact will be seen and felt for generations to come.
The Kroc gift included $24 million to be used for the construction and furnishing of the center. Mrs. Kroc gave an additional $22.5 million to develop a program endowment to assist in operating the facility. It was also her request that an additional $10 million be raised locally and added to the endowment fund. As of this date, local donors have pledged more than 75 percent of the $10 million dollar goal.
Donations are still necessary and much appreciated. They will help to sustain services at The Salvation Army’s west side location and help to provide new programs and opportunities for people attending The Kroc Corps Community Center.
